    • There are many channels here at AwesomeChat. To see them type /list this will bring up the list of channels.
  9. How do I register my nick?
    • To register your nick you would type the following: /register <password> <e-mail𔄙>
    • NOTE: You must use a valid Email address to complete the registration process.
  10. How do I create and register my own channel.
    • First, your nick must be registered. Please see question 9 if you do not know how to do this.
    • Join the channel you wish to register.
    • Type /cs register <Channel Name><Channel Description>; <Channel Password>
  11. I've forgotten my channel password, what do I do?
    • /cs sendpass <Channel Name> This command will send the pass to the founders email address.
  12. I see these channels with ChanBot or some other bot there. I've asked around, and was told these were service bots. How can I get one of these for my channel?
    • For ChanBot, you will need the assistance of an IRCop
    • For other service boots, you can use Boater.
      • Type /bs list for a list of all available bots to choose from.
      • Then type /bs assign <Channel Name> <Bot Name>
      • Then type /bs help for further assistance.
  13. When registering my nick, it asks for my e-mail. I don't like giving out my e-mail. What assurances do I have that this e-mail won't be given out by AwesomeChat to any Tom, Dick, or Harry?
    • Your E-Mail will never be given to anyone. We only do this because of automated bots and such that register their nicks. We have had problems of spam bots trying to register their nicks. This is just one of our ways of protecting you as a chatter.
    • NOTE: You must use a valid Email address to complete the registration process.
  14. Yea, ok. I see you have NickServ, ChanServ, MemoServ, HostServ, BotServ, StatServ, LoveServ, and MoralServ. This don't mean twit to me for the simple reason I have no idea what they are. What the hell are they?
    • NickServ is a service intended to provide a way for IRC users to ensure their identity is not compromised. The following are the commands that are provided by this service.
    • ChanServ is a service that allows you to register and control various aspects of channels. ChanServ can often prevent malicious users from "taking over" channels by limiting who is allowed channel operator privileges. The following are the commands that are provided by this service.
    • BotServ allows you to have a bot on your own channel. It has been created for users that can't host or configure a bot, or for use on networks that don't allow users' bot.
    • MemoServ is a utility allowing IRC users to send short messages to other IRC users, whether they are online at the time or not, or to channels(*). Both the sender's nickname and the target nickname or channel must be registered in order to send a memo. The following are the commands that are provided by this service.
    • HostServ is a utility allowing IRC users to have their own unique Vhost when chatting on AwesomeChat IRC Network. The following are the commands that are provided by this service.
    • StatServ is a service that provides IRC statistics on your IRC network, and optionally, publish them to a web site.
    • LoveServ is just a "Fun" modules for IRC networks that allow you to send poems and anonymous love letters to the ones you like!
